Toyota claimed a dramatic home victory in the 6 Hours of Fuji after a late Safety Car turned the race on its head.
Alpine had appeared on course for a one-two finish heading into the final hour, but the Safety Car triggered by contact between the #10 McLaren and #27 Aston Martin reshuffled the order.
The #8 Toyota emerged in front after electing not to change tyres and held on to win by just 0.591 seconds over the #36 Alpine — the closest FIA WEC finish since 2016.
BMW completed the Hypercar podium, while the #32 BMW claimed victory in LMGT3.
