2026 IMSA GT Challenge at VIRginia International Raceway | Race Highlights

Just a few months after making its competition debut at the 12 Hours of Sebring, the Lamborghini Temerario GT3 is already a two-time IMSA winner.

Following their breakthrough victory at Road America, Andrea Caldarelli and Sandy Mitchell made it two in a row at VIRginia International Raceway with the #9 Pfaff Motorsports Lamborghini.

Caldarelli started from pole before the pair controlled the race, eventually beating the #64 Ford Racing Mustang GT3 of Ben Barker and Dennis Olsen by 1.517 seconds. The result has also brought Caldarelli and Mitchell firmly into the GTD Pro title fight, just 56 points behind the championship leaders with two rounds remaining.

In GTD, Russell Ward and Philip Ellis took their third consecutive victory with the #57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 after a dramatic late battle with the #27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin.
